Farm-Raised Poussin
HO-FO
All natural, anti-biotic free, and hormone free these heritage breed young chickens are raised in large arena style coops in Sullivan County, New York. Poussin, is a butcher's term for a young chicken less than 28 days old at slaughter. They are a lean, tender, light meat and have a delicate, full-flavored character. Our farm partners just broke ground on their own feed mill, and in 2018 plan on milling corn, canola seeds, and soybeans as part of the farming protocol.
Sold by the each with head and feet on.
