Nestled in the Lake Champlain Valley between the towering Adirondacks and Green Mountains rests 240 acres of fertile pastures and grain fields, home to Alethea Bahnck and her certified pure-bred Berkshire pig farm in Bridport, Vermont. Raised from farrow to finish these purebred “Berks” graze in lush pastures, feed on farm-raised and local grains from certified non-GMO seeds, supplemented with minerals, kelp and whey. Mobile range huts and wooded acreage provide shelter and shade in summer, and open airy deep hay bedded pac barns in winter.
