Rocky Point Farm

Mark Jordan raises natural beef and grows crops on a farm that has been in his family since 1840. Working over 1200 acres on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake, Mark tends a 150 cow/calf pairs on 250 acres of pasture, finishing about 100 head each year.

Rocky Point Farm cattle come from a closed herd of small stature Angus and Hereford stock used to produce crossbred animals that are that fed pasture grasses and stored forages until they’re ready for finishing. At that point they’re switched to a diet containing natural grains and free choice hay until they’re ready for market.

The Jordans live just down the road from the village of Aurora and historic Wells College. Mark has served on the Town of Ledyard Board for the past 16 years and is currently Town Supervisor.
